Tips for applying online to a software job

These are some of the tips for a computer engineer (fresher) which according to me is necessary to follow for applying online for a job. Hope you find it useful :)
  • You should always have different resumes for different jobs n according to the job profile. I modified my resume for each job.
  • The selectors look for the stuff they want for the job.....not the stuff they don’t want. If its a C job u should put in C, c++, VC...n not stuff like ASP , JAVA etc.......while putting in your projects put more stress on the projects done in C rather than done in PHP coz it is worthless for them...once they come to know that u have done more work in C they are satisfies with you...but if u tell them about PHP they think that u have liking for PHP than C so they will not give u priority...n in your resume always put your expected salary if u want jobs for only 10k...coz if u don’t then they would unnecessarily call u n u will get low salary.
  • Its better if you make different CV's now itself...to avoid haste later
The main fields for CV's are
    1. Programming
    2. Web designing.
    3. Testing debugging
    4. Developer/analyst

  • Developer means u will need to handle the all issues....the developer jobs are mostly those where u alone are responsible for getting requirement , modeling, programming, testing...as compared to programmer jobs where some other dept will get the modules designed and u are only required to program n debug the code. Since only u know the language. So concerning those 4 field u should include one statement like "good in analytical skills" etc
  • Objective should say about your enthusiasm....basically it can be anything....but write something which would suit the job...so that they come to know you are the right person....

"Imagine" by John Lennon

I had heard this song in the show Rockstars: INXS. At that moment this song really got registered in my mind because it has such good meaningful lyrics and in addition such a melodiuos soothing tune to hum to. Today as I was surfing the channels this was being shown on Star World due to which I came to know that the creator was none other than John Lennon. I now respect him more due this only song I have heard from him coz I knew him earlier only as a Beatles member and I loved the songs from them. Read the lyrics and you will come to kow what I mean...

Imagine
Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...

Imagine there's no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...

Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.

Neal n Nikki

Its good to see Yash Chopra is keeping up with the changing times. Right from the 80's elegance Kabhi Kabhi, the 90's mushiness in DDLJ to the current boldness in Salaam Namaste Yash has managed to capture the ongoing generation's hearts and thats why he is aptly called "The King of Hearts". The latest offering "Neal n Nikki" takes a step further in the current issues of friendship, live-in relationships and tries to question many beliefs. The songs seemed pretty hippy. The main attraction would be the relaunch of slim and sexy Tanissha. All over the web and celeb news the talks are going on about the 21 kisses in the movie with Uday Chopra. I would prefer that over the concept of pigeons beaking each other, roses coming close to each other in a romantic scene. According to me what happens in reality should be portrayed more than hiding them behind closed doors like the current movies have been adapting and Yash is no far from it. Lets see how "Neal n Nikki" does as I am expecting a good romantic story and looking forward to Tanissha's acting. Hope Yash doesn'nt disappoint the urban youth that the movie is targetted at.

Way to go Abhi!!

Just yesterday i happened to see Abhishek's debut song "Right here Right Now"from his latest movie "Bluffmaster". Its so damn cool. I was surprised the way Abhishek has sung it with a deep toned voice and a video which perfectly matches the hip-hop element in the song. Watching the video was more like watching a Shaggy number. The music directors have done prefect justice to the tune of the song and the amazing creativity of choreographer Farah Khan in directing the video. Priyanka Chopra is in the best sensual looks ever. The hairdo of Ritesh Deshmukh as a cameo in the video is amusing. The heat stirs up more by the inclusion of 4 gorgeous ramp models. All in all Jr B is destined to go to the top with this cool number. His recent rugged harsh bearded looks suit very much on him rather than the chocolate boy looks during his early acting days. I simple love his style, his charisma and simplicity in the glamorous world of cinema. Way to go Abhi!!

Aloha to the new beginning

Hello friends,

I am venturing into a new space in this enormous web world with this new blog called Unspoken Self. The reason for making a new blog was the need to separate my personal thoughts from the usual ones. I am currently hosting two blogs
  • Nitin2005 - for happenings in my life
  • BFGWorld - mainly for my works especially graphic
So this would be my third blog. I will be using this for some reviews on the things we encounter in our daily life viz. entertainment, sattires, routine chores etc etc. This is just a test post and I cant wait to start ranting in this blog. Hoping to start a new avenue in a more casual manner and I prefer to stay away from norms in this blog. Starting this new journey from today itself and hope you will accompany me as you did in my other aspects and have fun. Amen!
